Changing rear shocks DIY
I'm not sure but i'm guessing no?
You can pick up hand held spring compressors that are cheap and will work i think.

Take the complete unit out and then put the copressors on.
Thanks
Sam

ClintUK, where are you based mate? If anywhere near to Bedford, I can do it for you FREE of charge :-) I needed spring compressors when I was changing shocks on mine V2 Sti, so guessing you'll need these as well. You can get them from Hallfords for less than £30 so not really expensive. It takes about 40 minutes per wheel, well easy :-)
If its standard springs and struts then you will need to compress the springs, if coilovers then you can winde the tension of the springs with the bottom spring seat adjuster but I suspect you mean standard struts.
Thanks Guys
A friendly neighbour has offered his compressors so I'm sorted thanks.
Scoobyforlife - FREE? I'm actually in St Albans not a million miles away, but no MOT so no driving for me (long story I've already been pulled once) so thanks but not practical whats this FREE malarky though?
