grooved brakes discs

got new brakes, ap 6 pots with ds pads
all second hand.
the discs are grooved, what way are the grooves meant to point
my k-sport kit says the should be facing forward, which kindof looks wrong
or does it really matter?

There is a link on here but it really depends on the vanes inside the disc and the fact that normally unless stated by manufacturer they should go so that they allow the gases to expel from the disc surface.

From: Over 500ft/lbs of torque @ just 1.1bar
If they are decent discs (ie AP or Performance Friction) they will have curved vanes. Take a look at the AP website for diagrams of which way they should be fitted.
