Default grooved brakes discs

got new brakes, ap 6 pots with ds pads

all second hand.

the discs are grooved, what way are the grooves meant to point

my k-sport kit says the should be facing forward, which kindof looks wrong

or does it really matter?

There is a link on here but it really depends on the vanes inside the disc and the fact that normally unless stated by manufacturer they should go so that they allow the gases to expel from the disc surface.

There is a picture or 2 on this link which should help you.

Usually facing backwards to let gasses escape. Just imagine Sonic the Hedgehogs hair & you can't go wrong!

If they are decent discs (ie AP or Performance Friction) they will have curved vanes. Take a look at the AP website for diagrams of which way they should be fitted.
