DISCONNECT BATTERY AND ALARM
Hi as title states i am not 100% on this 2002 sti standard alarm, now away to install aftermarket prosport gauges, and the only thing i am worried about is when i disconnetc the battery to do any soldering erc etc, how will it affect the battery as i never got the 4 digit code with it and i have no idea what it is, yes its something i will be looking at next but as everything arms and disarms as it should and everything works 100% its not top of my list.
so will this disconnection affect the battery at all?

Grant,
I got the original code and tried to change it, long story short, it failed and I had to disconnect the battery to get the siren off. When I reconnected it the siren had stopped and system was back to normal.
I also had to take the battery out the other week for a charge. I disconnected it, whipped it out, charged it, back in without the alarm doing anything untoward. I think you should be fine
