Default Car swap

If all goes well i'll be swapping my 1999 BMW 318 ise for a 1998 Scooby 2000 turbo tommorrow. When i go for a test drive and have a good look round is there anything to look out for specific to this model?

Any advice will be taken onboard and greatly appreciated

Al

Same as any other car on the basics, oil cap removal, check for headgasket failure etc, check the water level/colour of it is a good indication of the care its had, rusty or the blue/green etc it should be

r:e being an impreza, check for piston slap when cold, not a major problem but it needs to go away when warm.
if it has oil pressure gauges, check to see reading correctly

listen for big end knocks

blue smoke etc on hard acceleration

check the exhaust exit for oil deposits, should just be sooty.

being a uk car check the rear arches for rust

stuff like that
