Is grade 10-40 oil the right grade for a Impreza Turbo 2000 UK.

Any recommendations of oil?

Yes, 10w-40 is fine for a Classic, the best ones are the Millers CFS, Gulf Competition, Motul 300V and Redline. Fuchs XTR, Motul 6100, Shell Helix and Millers XSS are good cheaper alternatives.
