What BHP will i be looking at with these mods
Hi all
i have a bugeye and looking for a remap once i get all the parts fitted.
i will be looking at the following parts
K&N Panel Filter
3" turbo back ( with sports cat 200 Cell )
255 uprated fuel pump
550 Pink injectors
Stock TMIC
Uprated TMIC hose
Then remap
can someone let me know what sort of BHP i will be looking at
also is it worth changing the TMIC hose from stock to a ebay special
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA...item5196ef20dc
and would i benefit fitting a STI TMIC with hoses
thanks

Probably around the 280bhp mark I should think, kinda hard to hazzard a guess with these things becasue all the cars respond so differently to each and every mod, needless to say the mapper will get everything he can out of the car safely.
Yes STI TMIC is ALWAYS a good move matey

I shouldn't have thought an injector chng ewould be needed but I'm not 100% and I'm sure one of the other guys will help you with that.
They are a good mod if you are getting them cheap anyway and give you some future leaway as they'll run 360 ish bhp

STI Top mount is always good, any extra cooling you can get in to these cars is a bonus
bare in mind however, if you change the TMIC you will need a new intercooler splitter and scoop to make it worth while!

So i can stay with the stock TMIC and injectors for 280bhp?
If so would it be worth changing the standard TMIC hose to a better one
I think i will change the injectors anyway

if you goin to change the above you might aswell get a bigger turbo to get your moneys worth td05 16g/vf35/vf34/vf28 etc etc
other than that
td04
sports cat
panel filter
fuel pump
Stock TMIC
Uprated TMIC hose
will get you to 275-285
the extra money you will waste on the sti8 intercooler/scoop/tray/injectors will get you a nice brembo brake set up with selling your standard brakes you will have change left over too

wrx top mount and injectors are ok for 280 spend your money on better items you would get better results from having a 3 port boost solinoid rather than 550 injectors and if you are keeping the wrx tmic i would swap the pipe work but try and stay away from cheap ebay items and use prodrive or samco ones also a decat uppipe would benefit you more than bigger injectors, the sti intecooler would give you some more power but will add lag and by the time you bought 1 and a bigger scoop and undertray your looking at £320 not really cost effective if staying with standard turbo

if you get the prodrive item it will plug streight into the loom no need for cutting but it will need a remap it helps the mapper get more precise and sharper boost controle and even help acheive a little higher boost

yeah makes life easier remember it needs a remap though when fitted but not a prob as your planning one anyway best bet is to buy all the parts over as you can then have them fitted in a oner then get a remap will save you on keep getting map tweaks alot of them you can fit yourself there are guides on here just do a search they are pritty simple
have you got a mapper in mind

Best bet would be to speak to whoever you intend on having map the car.
as certain mappers prefer certain modifications...
as for BHP figures, again i'd say get on the blower to whoever you are getting to map the car as most peoples guesses are a true stab in the dark sometimes...
Best advice for mods will come from your mapper ;-)
