Default Cleaning Newage Boost Solenoid

Having searched on here and found that my fluctuating boost(feels like pulsing boost on WOT, 4th and mostly 5th gears) could be down to a mucky bcs, I would like to clean it. My searching hasn't come up with the definitive method, ie. how do I get the carb cleaner through the solenoid? All help appreciated, I'm off up the road later this afternoon and would like to sort it now!

I did this on my blobeye.

This guide is for a classic but the process was the same on my car -

Basically the solenoid is located on the reverse of the bracket that sits at the top left of the engine bay. You can see the black bracket here behind the airbox http://freon.shackspace.com/car/ecu%...inalmount2.jpg

I removed the screws to loosen the bracket from the car. I then removed the screws holding the solenoid to the bracket itself. You can then easily disconnect the 2 hoses. I didn't clean the hoses themselves though (my solenoid was not really dirty at all).

The green connectors are up behind the lower dashboard (look up from drivers footwell and to the right).

It's a fiddly job the first time you do it but not hard at all.

Hope that helps a bit.
