Default Boost problems

Car was feeling a bit flat intermittently so I took it to Tracktive to get checked. Richard found the map to be OK and everything mechanical such as the turbo and wastegate working OK, but on some runs it was only making 1.2 bar, when on the good runs it was making 1.7. On bad runs the ECU is pulling the boost.

It's going to have to be mapped again to get to root of the problem as Richard can't see Bob's map, but was wondering if anyone had seen this problem before and could maybe rule out a dodgy sensor or something before I have to map it? No error codes were logged and no CEL.

Car is a 2005 JDM with Bob Rawle remap, Turbo Dymanics actuator, 3 port boost solenoid, Hayward and Scott downpipe and rest Revolution

Ecu will pull timing on the advance multiplier and then boost if it drop the multiplier to a set level, normally 4.

How long ago was it mapped?
Any thing changed spec wise, decent fuel in tank?
I would avoid driving it hard until fixed as although tthe ecu is trying to keep things in check it may cause damage.

1.7bar on standard turbo seems a little high?

Hi mate, thanks for looking. Not sure when it was mapped, I've only had the car since Sept and it was mapped before I got it.

Fuel is OK, its been doing it for a while and it always has V Power. Nothing changed while I've had it.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern, it happens at any time. Odd, cos sometimes it will give full boost but not others. 1.7 bar does seem a little high

sounds like a map / investigation session is required.
