Default Clutch options?

I believe I have an Exedy uprated clutch fitted to the engine in my bug, which was built by APi about 7K ago.

It's never seen any track action, and although I enjoy the odd spirited drive, has not really seen a hard life.

Unfortunately, I think it's now starting to slip. The bite is pretty high, and when power is pushed it has issues between 4 and 6K.

Car is currently running about 340 bhp, but my goal is 400 and although my daily, I also want to track the car.

So, what clutches should I be looking at? I've driven cars with paddle clutches before, and had no issues, so am considering going this route, however i'm not sure which ones I should be looking at?

What do you think oh wise users of SN?

Thanks

How about this kit:

Stage 4 - 6 puck, light weight drive plate for fast shifting makes it ideal for track days and it uses a cermic friction material which is hard wearing and heat resistant. It has a much higher clamp load than the stock clutch to avoid slippage under torque, but its very driveable for every day use too.

A genuine Exedy UK Racing Organic Clutch Kit is what you want. We have customers happily running 400bhp on them.

Feels just like a standard clutch in operation. Nice and smooth.

It won't be the same as the one you currently have.

Take a look here
