Default Headgasket or not

Hi all

Just need some advise from some people I have a subaru sti 2004 Jap import with 43,000miles on the clock. The car temperature is about half now but when normal 1/3 . It did go up towards the red but has recently come down to half and stays on half when driving normally. The heaters some times on stand still blow out warm air and other times cold air, but when on the move they blow out warm air.

Does this sound like an air blockage or thermostat.Maybe head gasket??

perhaps you had a bit of a airlock and it moved id just keep a eye on water level and temps and see what happens
