Default wastegate chatter and instrument cluster query

havin had a evo 8 with dump valve,when dump valve removed you heard the chatter like you do on cosworts etc... i now know you boys dont recomend dump valves but can i get the chatter from my subaru wrx sti ppp... 03 model... am new to subarus and tryin to learn...... also if i changed the clocks to identcal ones in car would it alter my milage to whatever it read from other car or would it stay the same as mine read now as digital readings...

Can't answer your first query, alls I know is stick with a recirc dumpvalve which is what the car has now. THAT is what we say, not that we don't like dumpvalves, but that a VTA one has no gains other than a silly noise and CAN be harmful to the engine.

As for your second query, I can help: the mileage is on the clocks, so will change if you change the clocks.

There are specialists out there who can alter it for you.
