WHY IS CLUTCH BLEEDING DIFFERENT BTW BUGEYE & BLOBEYE?

WHY IS CLUTCH BLEEDING DIFFERENT BTW BUGEYE & BLOBEYE?
Looking at the Subaru workshop manuals for the Bugeye and Blobeye, I noticed the Clutch bleeding process is slightly different 
The main difference is that for the Blob, you have to do a bit more and that is;
1) Remove the operating cylinder.
2) Fix the piston with clamp to avoid the piston from jumping out.
3) Set the air breather screw part higher than tip of operating cylinder when performing this procedure.
4) Attach tube to bleeder and perform the usual bleeding process
Does that mean that Subaru thought the Bugeye method was a load of Bollox and changed it? As I tried the Bugeye method and it seems to still have air in the system
