Have a early Impreza turbo, just on light throttle about 20% get a bad misfire feel and pops and bangs, sounds like anti lag, lol.
On hard acceleration and boost is perfect.
Have tried plugs and 4 coils but still same.
Any suggestions?
Not running standard ecu though so dont get any check engine light on.

Would a cam or crank sensor cause this?

I'll be interested in a reply on this, mine seems to be doing this since cone filter was fitted, gonna refit standard this weekend

Oxygen sensor? Does it do it below 3000 rpm on light throttle? also possible maf sensor

Using ecu that elimiates maf. Would say 1800rpm

what condition are the plugs & coil packs mate? they can cause probs
& have you done an ecu light check to see if any lights come on?

Cured fault! New expensive racing spark plugs causing issue. They lasted 200miles and then gave misfire. All look same colouring etc. Now back to PFR7B, see how long these last.
