This photo is of the right hand side of my engine, from the front of the car. 97UK Turbo 150K miles

I've high-lighted in blue a pipe which is VERY rusty. It looks like its on its way out.

Please can anyone let me know what it is, I can figure out what will happen if it breaks then.

Also how big a job is it to replace? It looks like access is a bit of a pain! Does the inlet manifold have to come off?

That is one of the coolant pipes that run's down to the water pump mate and if it breaks which to tbho looks very close to it will loose all the coolant and over heat the engine and probably do the HG's in the process.
Get it replaced ASAP mate

I suspect it'll result in clouds of steam so I'd stop the car pretty quickly! Well - I will now.

Any idea where I can get a spare and how big a job it is?
