Default bug eye sti high clutch bite

since ive owned my car the clutch biting point has always been right at the top of the pedal stroke, and i was looking for some feedback to whether most imprezas are like this due to the hydraulic clutch system.

the clutch is not slipping at the moment , but i am planning on upping the power on the car , and dont want the clutch to let me down.

is this high bite an indication of the clutch is nearing the end of its service life, or since its hydraulic and takes away a bit of feel that a cable does, mean its nothing to worry about unless slipping.

thanks for any help.

HI, when i got my blob sti i was also unsure about the high clutch but it seemed ok for a long time , but when i had my remap it started sliping after a month or so, when changed the bite point was much lower , so imo i would buget for a clutch ,but it depends how you drive as to how much longer it lasts.
When mine started to go it was very slight , during 3rd 4 rth hard driving ,
but seemed to still pull up hills ok, but then just got worse.

i got told i meeded a new clutch 3 months after i bought my blob eye because my bite point was high, they told me i have 300 miles at the most and would cost me £1200. 7500 miles later its still fiine, i wouldnt rush into it. get aa cover and ride it asling as possible that way when it goes AA can take you to the garage.
