Hi guys strange problem for ya, i have a '96 wrx 260ps panel filter cat back and version 6 tmic and an avc-r

what is happening is this if i stick my foot down i hit 0.7ish bar and it is asif my wastegate is opening sometimes the car will judder like a misfire sometimes as if i hit a wall, the avcr was set up and has been running fine since i had it, if i accerlorate slowly with the boost it will boost to just under 1bar which is the target boost as always has been, all this seems to happen at around 4500 - 5000rpm, if when slowly acclerating i go past 5k then nail it woosh off she goes like a rocket, i have do cel check and no fault and done ecu reset the correct way, since owning the car the only thing that failed was the fuel pump which was replaced with 1 from a newage i was told and would work fine but i am a bit hessitent it is fine, any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you checked your DSV & MAF? May also be a coil pack breaking down!!

Id imagine it would mate, its there for a reason so i would have thought its best on! Id check the packs over mate, and maybe the spark plugs.

It is difficult to ID a fault like this by internet but what you describe could be a serious weak fueling issue and this is dangerous for the operation of your engine. Until you get it sorted avoid running into it just to check the problem still exists. I am sure you know what I mean.
A new Walbro GS341 255 lph fuel pump which is the right one for a Classic is £75 posted or £100 fitted so not worth risking an engine on a secondhand item.

I don't know anybody in your area I can recommend you to but don't drive the car hard until you get this sorted or it could end in tears.
