Default Hybrid FMIC

Has anyone with Hybrid FMIC on newages changed the pipework to go over rather than underneath the engine
Mines a lot better since shortening one of the pipes, but i've often thought about trying it anyway if i could get hold of some cheap pipes

Thanks

GSR have been doing this for years, this is what they specialise in. I am reversing my inlet manifold, and getting some custom pipework to shorten the distance. Look at there web page below, peter lee 10 second car is running the same setup. Oh and it want cost a fortune.

Enginetuner already do this. I asked but they wanted me to travel to then to do the fabrication there. It was a bit far for me to travel otherwise I would of done it for the same reasons as others have mentioned.

I have a hybrid on my bugeye, gone reversed inlet with my setup. Had to change my coolant expansion bottle for a slightly less bulky shaped one, but original pipes were cut and welded to suit front entry manifold and all worked well. Soon to have a blow-thru maf setup pit in too. Have done away with my foglights, got covers now, one with a nice air feed to inner wing cone. I think I could have kept the fogs if I spent some time to try and put a custom diy bracket/mounting plate in. It does shorten the pipe run by a fair bit doing this, but requires a few other parts to be altered like altenator. Someone else will be able to explain more detailed.

When Stew at TFS Racing did my engine swap, i asked about the FMIC pipework route being changed and he said he would see what he could do... when i picked up the car he had and the pipework was shorter

I'll get a couple photo's done tomorrow and get them up. I never done the work personally to the reversed inlet. So not 100% sure on all bits that are involved and what needs changed!
