Default Bonnet catch broken! Newage, help please

Openned the bonnet for the first time in a few weeks, was a tiny bit stiff. Anyway, opened the bonnet, now when I try and shut it the main catch won't lock.

Any pointers?

It could just be the cold, I had pretty much the same problem a few weeks ago in my 2005 WRX. The advice I was given (which worked) was:
might just have got some water in the cable and frozen with the cold stopping it from moving properly in the sleve and closing properly, give it a good clean and a good blast of wd40 to get rid of any water and then a good grease and see if that works

WD40 is only a quick fix (it soon evaporates) use a proper GREASE afterwards.

As above.... WD40 will blow any lubricant away, which is what you don't want. Best to pop to a garage and borrow a grease gun and give it a proper lubing!
