Default Boost Problem

Hi Guys,

My version 1 wrx sti was way overboosting in all gears, it was cuting out like a fuel cut of, this morning i had a look and the actuator was tuned to the max (dumb plonkers ), so i detune the threads to close abit of wastegate, i took my car for a run and my god it was a bullet, it was running fine til weather got more colder, im now still having overboost problem,

What could that be , could it be spark plugs, broken coil pack or just the terible cold weather and cars suking in to much cold air ,

My cars is fully decated inc manifold, and has a hks induction kit and a blitz DV

Cheers

Check the restrictor is still in place in the BCS as below:

Decat caused mine to over-boost too.

yh will check the restrictor pill tomorow mate, but iv been readin about, alot of people are having overboosting problem in this weather, maybe its due to the freezing cold air cars breathing making it go wild, coz as i said before, when i tuned down the waste gate, it shot of like a bullet, great fun, but then as temperature got colder, it started to overboost.

Yeah no doubt at all that the denser air increases boost. And visa versa in the summer.
