running issues
hi i have a subaru wrx jdm turbo my95,
which feels as if its running on 3 cylinders, when i drive the car it is sluggish,
drinks stupid amounts of fuel i no scoobys aint the best cars for mpg but after 2 years it is drinking it as quick as i can put it in now, also when i start the car it stinks of fuel i no the car was mapped to run rich when it was mapped with the simtek ecu, also if i hold the revs at say 3-4000 rpm it pops ad bangs, also the revs seem to have dropped before it would idel at roughly 2000rpm and now struggles with just over 1000rpm and occasionlay stalls.i checked the coil packs which all looked ok removed the plugs all were ok but 1 was black and stunk of fuel so clean it put it back in to see if this was the problem but still the same.it is also taking longer to start now when i crank it,it needs a few cranks until it fires into life.any idea what it could be people any help would be much appriciated kind regards

i may be wrong but with what you are describing it sounds like there is an injector problem, maybe sticking open.a mate of mine had a very similar problem to yours, and it was down to a dodgy injector.

how would i test if it was a injector problem.and i gather if it was then it would be just the ctlinder with the black plug.when its running it does sound like there a little blow coming from the inlet manifold were the black plug it but could be wrong on that 1 but if there was i gather that could cause a issue
