Had one for few months - but I noticed squat diddly difference and I drive around town a lot. Seemed like no matter how I drove (did extensive and patient tests on driving style for entire tank of gas) it made no noticeable savings on fuel. I personally reckon you're better spending the 50 quid on something else.

CCC did a proper test last month with a rolling road comparison. It did absolutely nothing. I notice that they're still carrying adverts from the company though, hypcritical or what. The adverts all refer to tests by Max Power, Revs etc, nuff said?

It`s a kind of magic
Good setup = 50-70km more for one tank.
Btw: You get funny sound at overrun.

Thanks for the input,
seems that getting it set up correctly is important...

Craig,

where did you get yours fitted?

Chelspeed,

Who/What is CCC (is there a web site)?

I've got one on my99 Impreza and I don't think it makes much difference , but I've got a very heavy right foot.
It does work well on other cars, but not on a turbo

Splat,

I have had an ECOTEK CB-26 fitted to my MY99 STI Type-R for a few months now. I have not done any maths but I have seen a definite improvement in fuel consumption. Apparently it doesn't work when the turbo is on boost but when you are "pottering" around town then it will. If I have a hard drive then I will see no improvement but when in town, or going to work, or picking my wife up from work then I see an improvement. I reckon it will depend on your driving style, if you have a very heavy right foot then I don't think you will see a benefit. I just read all the reviews which were very favourable. The P1 on their website got an improvement of 15% overall, www.ecotekplc.co.uk.

Hope this helps,

Craig.

P.S. No connection with the company!!!
