Default Horsepower gains????

Hi, i have a 2003 bugeye wrx and i have got a stainless scorpion backbox and a k&n filter to put on.
What kind of horsepower gains can be expected, if any, and do i need to re-map???

Cheers

if you are going to fit an induction kit you will need a remap and without one the two mods wont make much noticable difference, after a remap your looking at 270 ish bhp.

Not really, the td04 is good for 270 bhp, with a panel filter and an exhaust.

exactly what i sed just the bigger turbo will take u to 300 ish and would recomend cause spendin extra 300 quid for extra 30 ish bhp is worth it, im running a vf35 at the moment at 347 bhp so atleast u have room for improvment with it too

you will not get any bhp gain on a wrx by just doing these two mods, you wont get any benefit from just a back box.
To see any really benefit what i would do. first get your self a 3" Stainless Full Exhaust System, K+N Typhoon Induction Kit and a remap. approx 270-275 bhp.
add a vf35 turbo +remapp and you will be looking a approx 300bhp. then by adding Uprated Injectors,Uprated Fuel Pump and a Fuel Reg you should be able to get it up to around 330 ish
Any more then that you will be talking big money. after all BHP+reliability cost money. what i would say is dont be tempted to do cheap mods it will cost you bigger money in the long run.

I am sorry but I disagree.

Just a remap with those current mods will see around 260-270bhp

As far as taking it further ...

Replace the centre cat with a straight through pipe and add another 5bhp
Replace the downpipe cat with a bell mouth downpipe and add another 15bhp

Then if you want over 300bhp then VF35 or similar turbo, fuel pump, injectors and sti tmic should see you around 320-330bhp

Dont bother with the induction kit - you will not gain anything
No need for a fuel pressure reg either.
