Default p1410 fault code - help

iv'e just had the fault code confirmed as p1410,

the car is a MY06 sti type uk,hawkeye,

it says - secondary air combi valve open seized, apparently there are 2 of

these a lh and rh situated under the intercooler,

has anyone had problems with these before ?

any ideas if they can be repaired or will i need new parts ?

whats the easiest way to identify which 1 has gone down ?

the car is running fine but the engine light is on constantly,

any advice gratefully received,

many questions ,sorry,thanks in advance

Are they items 1 or 6 on here ??

http://opposedforces.com/parts/impre...llustration_9/

If so then it looks to me like they could be freed of as they are just like an idle valve etc. proberly just gummed up.

As for which one has failed, I guess you could take the pipes off and feel/look for the seized valve and for any air flow when the secondary air pump is running.

thanks for the link

yes i think they are the parts ,1 and 6,

nice clear pic there to see whats going on,

it'll have to be stripped down and see whats happening,

maybe they can be freed or cleaned ,

i think new ones are a bit pricey

thanks
