Hi there possibly look for HKS Type 0(Type 1 is little bit pricey around 130£) and buy harness for Subaru HKS turbo timer Harness(these cost around 15£ from Sumo Power).
I have HKS Type 0 and is literally easy to fit/no cutting cables...
Most people don't use turbo timer, this really depend on people opinion, but like my brother told me,its just for piece of mind.

A turbo timer on any engine is a waste of time imho, it is far better to drive off boost for the last couple of miles as tidgy says ,because you will still have air coming through the scoop to aid cooling the turbo,as well as the oil & water circulating through the turbo. My current car still has the original label on the drivers door saying that after heavy motorway driving, allow the engine to idle for a few minutes before switching off engine.
