Default Bypassing knock sensor?

Is there a way to bypass the knock sensor on a 95 wrx wagon.
Im having issues and would like to bypass it for a short period to eliminate it.

by advancing/retarding with engine knock.

You could just unplug it.

If you get any ECU errors then measure the resistance of the sensor and put a resistor of the same value accross the terminals in the plug, that way the ECU will think the sensor is still there but obviously there wont be any readings coming from it.
