Anti lag...egt gauge question
Hi
Im buying an exhaust gas temp gauge soon before i get the car setup for anti lag.. at what temp on the gauge should i turn off anti lag without damaging anything?
which side of the manifold should the exhaust sensor bung be welded to?
Any help would be great

I would put EGT probe after turbo but as close too exhaust housing as poss.(that way if tip falls opff it won,t go thru turbo).
Max temp depends on turbo, but we usually aim to keep below 875 C.Have run a VF34 at 900C but turbo performance then starts to suffer. I can safely say that at 1100C the back of the turbo falls off!!

I bought a td05-20g but waiting for a few more parts to arrive. turbo is not fitted yet. Would anti lag put stress on turbo etc even if i turned it off at a safe enough temp?
Do you mean fit the sensor near the top of decat downpipe?

Its a good choice alright
thanks for the help
I presumed that the sensor should be fitted on the manifold because its the hottest part compared to the rest of exhaust setup?
I will fit it to the downpipe
