weird one...please help

Default weird one...please help

right have ben having some trouble with my uk wagon 1995 turbo...it was running a bit rough,did a check and was getting eror code 45...so changed the bracket with all the parts on the inner wing,fixed the problem or so i thought,when started the car ran fine,but when started the check light comes back on and reads code 45 again...also when driven the car hits something like boost cut at around 3k rpm...anyway took for the mot today and failed on lambda check,but its a brand new lamda,could it be an afm>>>or a cold start sensor/or a cam sensor///help im lost now...

did you reset the ecu after you fitted the new part?

themechanic phoned roger clarke,and they said would not make a difference if the ecu was reset or not,as if there was a prob it would just put the code straight back up,or store it if there was no problem...

But if you reset the ECU & cleared the code between the old part and fitting the new part then it would show if it is STILL a fault or if just the old fault remaining and new part may be fine.

i.e. if code came back, you still have the problem and it wasn't that pat.
If code stayed away then you fixed the problem with the new part.

as the other guys said, reset your ecu incase it has banked the fault
simple to do and its worth doing just to check if it is cos u never know
ive always reset my ecu if ive changed a sensor etc

turned out to be the map sensor pipe under the manifold split...
