Default Turbo Upgrade

Hi all, Im thinking of upgrading the turbo on my 02 bugeye wrx with 84k on the clock. I currently have a remap to 280bhp with the standard turbo, i have upgraded the cooling system and exhaust to a full 3 inch through system. Im after any usefull information as to what to upgrade to (td05 or td06) and also what parts i will definately need to change, like the fuel pump etc. Im mindfull i will have to have a re map again. Im just wondering is my engine too old to move the bhp higher??? thanks in advance for any info given.

personally mate i'd opt for a vf 34 and fuel pump with remap because you don't want to push the motor to hard, with a 34 and a decent remap you ought to see over 300bhp which in a road car is good and spool is very good on the 34 also.

Hi matey,at first get Scooby health check(if is your engine healthy and last some upgrades) at some reputable garage.
Second for good 330-340BHP you will need VF34 or VF35,STi pink injectors,STi V7/V8 Intercooler(TMIC),Walbro 255 Fuel pump, good panel filter like K&N,Green Cotton,Sti Uppipe(or decated uppipe),3 port solenoid and after this you will need just remap and finger crossed you will see 330-340BHP.
At last i will recommend brakes(at least change pads to EBC Red Stuff,Bluestuff or Ferodo DS2500,Hel braided lines and DOT 5.1)

Thanks for the advice guys, I use the Racing Line for all my technical mods, The intercooler they fitted is larger than an STI intercooler so no worries there, ive also read good reports on the walbro fuel pump, so will have a look, The turbos you suggest are they bolt on parts that will fit no problems?? Also forgot to say brakes were upgraded earlier this year when i went to 280bhp. Thanks again.

Vf 34 is just a bolt on and away you go to remap, only thing you would need is the banjo union bolt on the oil feed which has alot smaller hole in it as the ball bearing type turbo's don't require as much oil feed as the fluid filled brass sleeve bearing TD series.

VF 34 or VF35 are bolt on Turbo for your Bug WRX.Walbro fuel pump you will need for best achievement from upgrades,STi pink injectors are also recommended(your std injectors will be maxed at 300-320BHP),3 port solenoid is recommended.
