you will need a front entry tdo5 turbo compressor cover other than that, you should be good to go.

If it has a front entry comp housing - or if its an OEM MY93-96 one with the FE mod done - then it's a straight swap.

But I think you have to use the 05's own oil feed/drain pipes, as they're bigger???

Straight swap, but remap needed.

Cheers Guys,
The TD05 is from a classic Import with a modded front entry convertion.
but the cast housing that it come with is damaged while being removed from the classic, plus I'd rather not take the one off my car if dont need too?

It is a straight swap mate ,i 've changed 3 x td04's to td05's in the last 4 months.no need to change the oil feed pipes as they are the same size both ends, and both sleeve bearing turbos.Good solid turbo and as slowboy says after a remap & a few supporting mods ,you should see good power gains.

If you take your time, and soak the nuts in wd40 overnight ,should not take you more than a couple of hours. I found that when i warmed the engine up 1st that the nuts came off a lot easier than trying to take them off from cold.
