Hey guys n gals. Just purchased one of the above for my95 wrx. Got it at good money so thought why not. Anybody done this mod before? Is it much bother to do? Anything else need doing when its done? Used the search engine but to no avail.

Thats a tidy job there man. Is the black strip around the outside of the top of the intercooler the bracket you made?Hope i can get mine to fit that well...t

No thats just part of the intercooler i took off and sprayed black.

In that pic i havent used any mounts and it actually sits a bit crooked. I made a mount here on the (from the photo) left side of the cooler





Only mounted it on the one side and its as solid as a rock! Also sits perfectly square. I planned to mount the other side but didnt see the point.

Its a very tight fit so dont expect an easy job. Well worth it though as everytime i pull up its ice cold .

Nice one man. Ill get stuck in now. Have the old one out and all so its just doing a bit if fabrication. Ill let you know how i get on..

You need to cut the exit of the intercooler down and sometimes cut the inlet onto the throttle body to give enough space to put a piece of hose to join the two , i had to , some get away with just the intercooler , also had to adjust the bulkhead a bit where the bracket to gear box is with a hammer just to make enough room , was harder than i first though to fit as its such a tight fit .
