TICKING NOISE?
as it states was out in the car there and when back was letting it cool down i thought i heard a faint noise so i pinged the bonnet to see if i could pinpoint it, and it seems to be the right side of the inlet where the pipes are coming off the fuel filter felling all the hoses etc round there and all were fine but the fuel hoses were pulsing to the ticking?? is this just the pump pumping and normal or?

Could be an unusually noisy or sticking injector, could be your valve clearances starting to run out of spec, could be something else. Almost impossible to diagnose "noises" over the internet - when we can't hear or physically pinpoint the source. If in doubt, first-hand expert advice would be the way forward.

yeah i sort of that that, i know trying to diagnose anything over the internet or phone is a bit of a nightmare and hard, was just seeing what peoples opinions were to try and give me base to start from, but would you say the pulsing on the fuel lines is normal at a tsandstill when cooling down after the fual filter when they head for inlet, hand on them and a very apparent pulsing to the exact ticking might i add!!, might be nothing im just not sure cant remember the last time i was holding a fuel line when car was running.
but thanks for the input splitpin
