I have a 98 classic, running brembos, stainless brake lines, 5.1 fluid and abs removed. Issue I had at a track day recently was losin the pedal coming into corners, even after a straight . I put this down to boiling the fluid, and just hit the pedal twice to get pressure back.

So I have changed the fluid to 5.1, and flushed it all through. Issue I have had a few times now is still losing the pedal pressure. Last time I had been driving gently, and didthrow it round a corner fairly hard, and then lost pressure again.

It's almost like there is a leak in the system or not enough fluid, but there are no leaks and fluid is on max and doesnt leak.

Any suggestions? I do wonder if it's a master cylinder issue as I'm running brembos- the abs is still fitted but has no power so thAt can't be it- pad knockoff was suggested but would seem a little extreme on a road car, albeit it is my hillclimb car too.

Hi Grant, Pad knock off could be it as said above. I have seen it happen to a few cars fitted with bigger brakes, sticky tyres etc. Takes a pump or two to get the feeling back.
