MODIFYING/FITTING A TWIN SCROLL TURBO TO A SINGLE SCROLL SETUP
one for the guru's! i was just wondering if i was to fit a twin scroll turbo, for example a VF37, use the correct downpipe but leave the standard uk headers in place and get fabricated a up-pipe designed to adapt from the headers to the twin scroll flange?! i know it could be done- although with some work, but im wondering if the twinscroll turbo would still work ok. i know it wouldn't be as good as the original twin scroll setup for spool but would it spool better or like the VF34/35's, but make more power i.e. 350-360?

The downpipe is different because the sump is different, hence your headers wont fit to the downpipe due to the length of said pipe.
If you wanted to keep the burble (god knows why, its much smoother with the equal length headers ) then you can buy uneven length headers for this setup, but you still need the sump etc.
Basically if you change from the spec above then your going to lose performance that the twin scroll gives you, in which case your better sticking with a vf34 setup though it wont be as responsive as the vf37.
