hi guys as above last few days my scooby when taken to 5500 rpm onwards the det light flash for a second? any ideas people ?

It could be worth running the likes of STP injector cleaner to ensure your injectors are running at their best. Shortish runs give the fluid time to work wjhem the injectors are warm. I used this with great effect on a Renault 19 16v I owned previously, it gave a nice mpg increase aswell.

 

its prob worth a try but some1 will be along to say u can t use additives in a scoob cheers mate. any other ideas people

 

speak to your mapper mate, he might know whats up.

 

On Simtek the CEL is a det warning light and shift light.Det warning will normally be 4 or more flashes in quick succession.Shift light is constant above shift set point.Are you just getting one single flash? If so this could be that the in gear shift light needs setting.If more than 1 flash then best get in touch with your mapper to check for det with det cans without delay!

check plugs aint sooted up and check up pipe joints for leaks,(start car when stone cold feel round bottom joint).

other than that speak to you mapper.

 

i didn t no simtec had a shift light yea it flashes once im sure of it. iv had it flash like 4 times when anti lag sooted the plugs up lol
