hi guys can somebody who has done this please rate 1-10 1 being easy an 10 being hard. ill probs be on my own with all the equipment with car just off the floor.
thanks guys
On your own, i`d say about an 8/9, intercooler off, turbo heatshield off, downpipe etc off, propshaft off, driveshafts out, gearbox cradle off, then you have to seperate from the block and make sure you dont drop it, be prepared for a bolt that doesn`t want to come off(mainly turbo heatshield or downpipe), soak them with some wd40 or simaler the day before as it helps sometimes, might be a bit of a task but as long as you have plenty of time you should be ok, good luck
cheers or replies guys. ive had exhaust off in past an have no heatshield but looks like the gearbox has been off before looking at the condition of were it meets the block. its a next year thing as want a v5 type r box to go in it. i hate this uk box
yea im not sure what it will be like but i can imagine it bein like my dads 96 jdm wrx. ive got a bigger turbo on it an the box just dont go well until the turbo starts to spin up
my car a uk my99
I did my clutch a fortnite ago and its no fun just make sure youve got 2/3 trolley jacks to hand and the mrs handy for cups of tea and any heavy lifting lol
We used old wheels put the car up on the higher it is the better and i bolted some plywood on the jacks it stops the box slipping of and makes it a lot easier to refit
it wontbe until next year dunx thats if a decent type r box comes up. will keep that in mind though. thanks for help. do u know what gaskets needed etc. id try keep my oil i replaced few month ago
