mines is a jap ecu and tend to have rather agressive maps with lots of advance for 100ron fuel. have you been driving the car a long time like this? the importer might have sorted the ecu for uk SUL.

For starters your fuelling will be all over the shop, ie if you are running lean the lambda tells the ECU to up the fuel and visa versa. Otherwise the ECU will pull the timing and the car will be down on performance, it will also drink v-power like it's free.

I advise you get the lambda refitted ASAP, have you not got a boss in the downpipe you can fit it in? Remove the COF sensor in the downpipe and fit the lambda in there if nessisary. Or replace the headers with OE as you said earlier. Either way, you will need it fitting for a MOT emission pass.

You could do, but the Z4 is a better choice:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-Z4-ECU-...item20b52415f3

W6 - 1993 WRX RA – TDO5- 11.47PSI (0.8BAR) -FUELCUT 14.5PSI (1BAR) - 240PS (237BHP)

Z4 - 1995/1996 WRX –(0.9BAR), DROPPING TO 11.7PSI (0.8BAR) @ 6600RPM
- FUEL CUT 15.65PSI (1.08BAR) - 260PS (256 BHP) – 7250RPM

Either way you will need to run V-Power.

Well thats because you have a fault. No lambda for one. The ECU (which ever OE one you fit) will be trying its hardest to prevent you killing your engine!

Get the lambda refitted and see what happens.

The lambda will effect the running and performance.

22 is knock sensor, replace it.

24 is iacs
33 is vss2

These two can be related. Sort the vss2 first, i'm 99% sure it's the speedo end, as opposed to the gearbox end. This can cause the ECU to think the iacs is not operating properly.

There should be a boss in the up-pipe, your lambda will be fine in there.

Now i'm confused.

Was you looking at a different location before?? As it is not possible for the lambda to foul on the block when installed in the header.

You can get a used KS, in the 'For Sale' on here or Ebay, make sure you get the right one for your MY(Subaru Part No: 22060AA030 22060AA031) . A faulty KS will cause the ECU to pull the timing and reduce performance.

VSS2 will probably mean removing the binnicle and checking the cable and the connections behind.

Leave the IACS till last as that may be being caused by the VSS2.

Come on, pull your finger out and stop ******* about.

edit: This one looks ok.

Was it a new KS or a used one??

Did you follow the correct reset procedure??

Change the
IACS now, as i said earlier, this will cause a VSS due to the IACS not telling the ECU the car is at idle. So the ECU is expecting a signal from the VSS but because you are at idle it doesn't get one and therefor thinks the VSS is at fault.

Just drown it in carb cleaner or petrol and watch the sh1te pour out.
A small brush is also handy.
