Default ECU Help Please

Looking to get a new ecu before the new tax year increase
iv got a 2005 STi9 type UK blobeye with ppp.
Just got a full decat 3" exhaust to fix, along with a FMIC
Would like some ideas as to witch ECU to go for and tuner to do the job,
Like the sound of the simtec with launch and MAF Less System.
All help and ideas welcome
Thanks in advance Ken.

Your standard ecu is perfect for the job and more than capable of supporting up to 450 bhp (or more) - just needs remapping to suit the new mods. I certainly wouldnt be in a hurry to recommend a simtek for your needs as it will cost you around £1400 for launch control (which I can add to your std ecu anyway)

£350 for a full remap with or without the launch control option and pops and bangs if they float your boat

A 3 port can be useful at getting quicker boost or holding more boost but I would def use the ecu's boost controlling abilities rather than the very crude (although effective) profec b as it still maintains the ability for the ecu to put itself into limp mode to protect itself should it be needed.

Sell the Greddy.
