Inaccurate odometer

Default Inaccurate odometer

Hi all was wondering if anyone knows when you convert from Km to mph is the odometer really accurate?Just been for a drive and im sure its out maybe not by too much but still off.

If it is, I'd assume your speedo is too.

Is the car on standard wheels/tyres, or if not, what size?

Also what car are we talking here? And what Model Year?

The car is still on standard wheels and tyres the car is a 99sti type r version 5, don't know why I havent picked up on this earlier.

OK, what makes you think it's inaccurate? It WILL be connected to speedo accuracy.

I took the car to work instead of my daily the drive is a 90 mile round trip and I clocked it too over 100miles not much I know but still out.

That is quite a difference, around 11% error. If your speedo is equally out you may have problems. It IS over reading, though, which is better than UNDER.

Who supplied and fitted the speedo conversion?

I bought the car from SVA imports and it was already done is it worth getting another convertor?
