55 reg Hawkeye JDM spec and want more bhp
Hi all. New to the club and just bought my first Scooby, a 55 reg JDM Hawkeye WRX STI. Have been looking on the net but can't find any specific performance specs on this vehicle. Am interested to know the exact bhp, 0-60 times etc. I have been told it's around 320bhp. Does anyone have any info? Also, I am looking to make it faster, as fast as possible to be honest! What mods are best and what is achievable? I currently have fitted a HKS HiPower silent exhaust as it was already on the car. Any info would be greatfully appreciated.

You really need a target for what you want to achieve, as stating as much as possible is a bit open, costs vary wildly dependant upon what you want, I have my05 jdm and settled for an exhaust, panel filter and remap. But if you want to break 400bhp then larger injectors and an LM400 litchfield turbo would be a good choice.

Get yourself down to teg motorsport, my friends got a 460bhp with 480lbs of torque spec c, full cosworth internals 2.5 bottom end etc.. They do all the prep for the rally cars and Rossi is driving one of their cars in the British round of the WRC this year. In my opinion no better place in the country.

A couple of £k should see 375hp (300-320 is standard) via decat zorst, induction kit, uprated fuel pump, 3 port boost solenoid & remap. 400-450+ will need quite a bit of dosh ... take a look in the projects section

These cars are about midrange torque, not 0-60, but if you want to know then about 4.5 secs, the Spec C does the same in 4.3 secs.
Out of the box power varies, is it mapped for uk fuel? if not then it could be around the 300-310bhp mark, a little more if mapped for uk fuel.
400bhp will set you back about 4k ish, that is with no brake upgrade, for decent discs and pads then add 500 quid with some change available.
for near 500 bhp your talking full rebuild for reliability, a "good" clutch at this level is pushing 1k in price, engine rebuild will set you back a fair bit and you need to decide if your going 2.5 or staying 2ltr (there are other options available like 2.33/35 but these are quite expensive).
Put a good 10+k on the side for the above, though you may find it costing a lot more!

Look under Projects and a guy called "Shaun" has a comprehensive project write up from standard to something like 550-600bhp. You will find all you need to know related to twin scroll mods.
