will a hks turbo timer work with a cobra alarm fitted to car?

Yeah, they are pretty universal/useless so you should be ok.

If the Cobra alarm is a cat 1 device you will almost certainly invalidate the cat 1 status - and in turn invalidate your insurance policy if such an alarm is one of its stated provisions.

However, all that said, under the vast majority of circumstances, turbo timers are almost literally a waste of time. The best thing you can probably do for the health and cooling of your engine is not to try and fit one.

The best way to cool your engine down after giving it some stick is simply to drive around slowly for a few minutes at medium engine speeds, and then switch off immediately you park up. Leaving it idling on a timer will usually cause the engine and turbo to, perversely, heat up. And no, I'm not joking.

cheers for that, been told before that its better to dive around slowly rather than let car over heat on drive ha ha
