Newer ecu in my00 uk spec ??
Hi proberly going to sound strange and prob on here somewhere but I'm looking at putting a more user involved ecu in my wagon just don't wanna spend like a grand on a top of the range aftermarkit one if I can get like an 02/03 maybee that I could make work and be more accessible if you know what I mean even if it's so I can put displays onto a screen of stuff also is there a fuel consumption display on the Market for my car as seeing how much its actually using may calm me down ha ha well may ??
Sorry if it's all a bit dumb just like a challenge
Many thanks

Have you ever heard of these things called commas and full stops? They make your posts much easier to read.
The short answer is no, you can't easily fit a newage ECU into a phase 2 classic. If you want to "make work and be more accessible if you know what I mean even if it's so I can put displays onto a screen of stuff", you can do all of that with the unit you have, if you know how.
And yes, it is "on here" somewhere, use the Search facility.
Edited to add: The "fuel consumption display" on your car is to the left of the temperature gauge.

What do you mean by "user interface". There's a stack of stuff capable of displaying real-time data via the diagnostic port, both free and commercial, not to mention standalone devices like the SECS monitor. So yes, search would be good.
And, for what it's worth, have a look at point 4 of Lisa's sticky at the top of the forum. It doesn't matter to us what you're using to access the forum. It will matter to you if your posts are ignored because they're difficult to read.

Right back again, I have been looking all over the place so maybe i'm just not putting the correct info in for the search i am after.
I am trying to be able to access my MY00 uk spec ecu at todo:
1. Check if it has been Re mapped,
2. do live data checks im certernelly not a mapper but am really wanting to learn all about it and try do my own??
3. as said at some point bring up digital diplays for a pc to show live data on digi type gauges
I am always using the search as i dont like to sound as if i dont know anything and get shown that i dont, And as allways is very apprectiative of ant replys/info i get.
just a few pointers in the right direction would be great.
Many thanks again
Daniel
