Default to cold to polish??

Hi all,
I may regret asking this But......
Is it too cold to polish the car???
I ask because i tried to do it yesterday, using Maguire's and OMG it really was hard work.
I ended up washing the remaining polish off as i it seemed like it wouldn't dry..(to buff)i left it for over 30 mins ?
This is only the 3rd time i have used Maguires, but that was in the summer..and it wasn't that hard to do.

Thx in advance
Drew

You can't polish when there is a little moisture in the air I find - polish just doesn't dry to a haze
