Default Big vibrations from back of my99 turbo above 60

hiya all, my impreza has started making a huge viration from the rear of the car when i accelerate or deccelerate above 65 ish... its soo bad the rear doors sound like they want to fly off and my glove box fals open!!! any ideas guys????

id guess rear tyres to check there round then move on to axle or prop joints would be the first things to check

First thing i would check is your tyre pressure.

Check wheels ar tight, then it would be a quick inspection of the shafts, diff and hubs...

cheers guys, one thing ive noticed is that the rear tyres are 215/35/18 and the front 2 tyres are 225/40/18.......could that be the problem?? as below 60 ish the car runs fine!

OOps they are totally different circumferences! Your center diff will have already died and is probably locking/unlocking continually as you drive in a straight line.

Mine is going and judders on tight corners but you have the same symptoms in a straight line because your tyre circumferences are totally different. I would imagine its too late to save the diff but I wouldn't drive it like that - it's putting unnecessary strain on everything and I would imagine its rather dangerous cornering nevertheless the ABS not working as effectively if the wheels are turning at different speeds.

I bougt the wheels like that! Ive only driven it above 70 twice! Ill change the tyres today, and let u no how i get on! Cheers guys.

ALL SORTED changed the front 2 tyres 2 match the back, 215 35 18 and the car has never felt better!!
