Default which induction kit 2004 stitypeuk

might be buying a hks induction kit 190pound from ggr are these a gud kit,which is the best air filter to buy for a subaru...heard storys of cars not runnin right sumthin to do with the maf sensor when fitting an induction kit?????????

If your car is still running with the topmounted intercooler and standard ecu + maf, then i would recommend staying with the standard airbox and a panel filter.

If you must fit an IK, then you will need to have the ecu remapped and airflow curve adjusted to the new intake

having the car mapped satday by duncan....cars completly standard apart from backbox and dumpvalve...but woundering weather to get an induction kit ready for the remap.....would it make much difference with a hks induction kit its the round mushroom looking one...

i'd stick with the standard airbox and a decent panel filter - It won't be at all restrictive for a 'Stage1' remap.

might give the induction kit a miss then and save myself 200quid...and go with a panel filter which one would u recomend....cheers for the advice by rhe way mate...

Fiestaboy's advice is spot on. Induction kit at this level of tune will cause more problems than it solves. As far as aftermarket panels are concerned, K&N or Green work fine and are long-life cleanable filters. Cosworth one is also apparently very good but I believe it to be a short life throwaway one.

well thanks for the advice guys gonna go with the panelfilter then...hopefully this and the remap ill be touching 300bhp
