Default If it was human i'd fight it in the garden!!!

ive read lots of post about this but need help!i bought my beautiful bugeye wrx 01 in july my first scooby.it was totaly standard so i bought a 3" cat back exhaust and a scorpion centre decat. idiot at the garage stripped the thread on my lambda sensor so i drove it home with just the bung in.ENGINE LIGHT ON...to be expected.anyway now fitted new lambda and disconnected battery pumped brakes etc reconnect and take for a drive...bang on 10miles light goes off WOOP WOOP....so it seemed. like a dumbass left my interior light on battery dead recharge start up LIGHT ON???? 30 miles later LIGHT OFF. next day start up LIGHT OFF... 5miles later LIGHT ON????? the car seems to run fine???? please help wat do i do??aaaargggggg!!!its killing my OCD!

The code needs to be read to find out what the fault is. May or maynot be related to the work youve had done.

i have heard that if you decat a newage it will normally throw up a check engine light as they need to be mapped, i'm probably wrong though. lol

Hmmmm, the others have more than covered this. Chances are the DTC is being caused by the decat but you need to get it checked. If it is the obvious cause, you need either a physical fix (i.e. resistor) or someone disabling the trouble code in the ECU.

He says in his post its a CAT back with a decatted centre section, that shouldnt throw a CEL.

Thanks for. All your input people gonna take it somewhere get it sorted needs a service anyway. Does anyone know if scoobyworks in loughborough leics are any good? And as for my thread title its how I feel about it at the moment! And yeah ive heard that decat centre section should'nt cause a problem but hopefully she'll get sorted.

I'm going off Splitpin...

As stated cat efficiency out of range = CEL, mine only did it cruising on the motorway, thrashed round the B-roads, no problem.
