Cam Cover Gasket Replacement
About to replace drivers side cam cover gaskets on my 2001 WRX. Usual oil leaking on to exhaust when warm. All looks pretty straightforward - air filter comes off a doddle and I can access all the bolts.
I have original Subaru gaskets from Graham Goode (main cam cover, 2 plug and 8 bolt washers) Question is, where exactly do I put the gasket sealer and how much do I use? My workshop CD shows exploded diagram of parts with arrows pointing in vague area of corners of the 2 half moon shapes formed in the gasket. I would think they fit over the inlet and exhaust cam caps in that area.
Any help/comments appreciated.
