Default Turbo stall, symptoms / damage?

Following on from earlier post....

Could a faulty / stuck blow off valve cause enough back pressure to cause turbo stall, enough to spin turbo in wrong direction? Is this even possible whilst engine is running, and if so, what symptoms would be experienced?

Which other post are you following on from??

Yes, if the DV is stuck closed then it will have the same effects as running with a 'DV delete' (search that phrase).
