Jdm blob tyres.
I,m looking to get new tyres for my MY05 Jdm. the car has 114 p.c.d wheels with 235/40/18" tyres. Can I fit a wider tyre or would you recommend staying with the original size. Also do you think Falken 452,s are a good buy. I,m reluctant to buy expensive tyre,s as I work in a shipyard where it,s very easy to get puncture,s with metal swarf lying around . Thank,s Steve.

I've heard a few people say the falkens are quite a good tyre,
But one thing you should'nt do is stick cheapo tyres on because you cannot use the car with any faith in it.
Tyres are the first part of your suspension and holds the car on the road.
You will soon find yourself in a ditch if you use cheap tyres.
No doubt others will confirm this.

Yup cheap tyres = hedge hoppers, no matter what people say, the falkens are not a top premium tyre and wont handle like one either, a good alternative is the Vredstein Sessanta (though I dont know what sizes they come in, but would have thought 235/40/18 was one of them), and if you are worried about killing tyres at work, buy a 200-500 quid banger for work
