Question OBD light code P1507

Hello everyone, new to this site and very new to owning a Subaru.
I recently bought a 2002 GWX 2 litre sportwagon, mileage 75k and has been looked after by Quenby Hertfordshire,it now lives in Dorset!
Anyway the problem has been the warning malfunction light keeps coming on and then goes off, then on again....my local Subaru dealer who have been very helpful said the code relates to idle control valve,or emissions, first job was to clean the valve, that didn,t work,so a new valve was fitted along with checks for any air leaks around inlet manifold, air intakes,by the way the car is completely standard, after a couple of days the light came on again.
Now apart from this the car seems to run well, though still a littlle lumpy at idle, starts hot and cold no problem, and returns around 30mpg.
I am waiting to hear back from them as they have now contacted Subaru UK who in turn are in contact with Subaru Japan, the whole thing is becoming annoying, and i,m baffled why the error code shown still returns when new parts have been fitted.
Heres hoping someone maybe able to help, sorry for such a long post!
