Default 3" exhaust = remap???

Folks,

ive got a standard exhaust bar an STI backbox on my V5 sti RA Limited.

I can get my hands on a 3" bore catback and a 2.5" borecatback........

Question,
Ive been informed that id have to get the car remapped with the 3" exhaust but the 2.5" would be fine as its near enough the oem bore size.

I had a 3" bore Blitz Nur spec catback on my old V3 sti RA that was'nt remapped and was perfect and went like poo off a shiny spade

Advice please????

Ta

My version 5 sti type r has a hks cat back and no remap, I've had it on the rollers and everything is ok. In an ideal world it should be remaped, for peace of mind I'd get it on the rollers and have it checked if you fit it at a minimum

If its just a catback system then no you wont need a remap, theres a chance you might lose a slight bit of torque with 3" system though i think, but just go for whatever u fancy really dont worry about it
